I studied Woven Textile Design at the Royal College of Art in London. While I was there I won a Leverhulme Research Scholarship, which enabled me to visit textile centres throughout South Eastern Europe. On returning to Britain I joined a group of young designers at 401 Workshop and began lecturing part time at Loughborough College of Art.
I have worked freelance for a number of major UK textile companies and exhibited in London, Paris and Madrid. Until recently I was Head of Textile Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, University of Dundee and an assessor and advisor for textile courses throughout the country.
I am now delighted to be working at my studio near St Andrews, weaving fashion and interior accessories. I also run weaving courses and workshops at Weft textile studio, Pittenweem, Fife.
